That's according to ex-3D Realms boss George Broussard, who also claims that the studio has cancelled a project.
The veteran developer said in a Tweet: "Layoffs at Io Interactive (Kane&Lynch/Hitman). As many as 35, and a project cancelled. - Tis' the season."
Earlier this week, IO moved to dampen rumours that it was working on Hitman 5. (Can you keep a secret? We don't really believe it.)
